Hey look! You can now listen to the poem and read it at the same time!

My first Cat
2005-12-23

Although the years have passed,
and we have grown older,
feelings have only gotten stronger.
I see you less and less,

but you jump right back,
to me - your counterpart,
a better name could not
have been chosen to describe you,

how you just curled up in
my hand, when I first held you.
Cozy, my cozy, my cat.
Your fur so soft and warm,

the famous candy-cane tail that
so proudly wacks all you see.
Your kitten like actions, even
though your much older and bigger.

You, with golden eyes,
and jet black hair, so soft,
that lights up my life.
Cozy, my light, my darling,
my foot and lap warmer.
